Welcome
to a home for Korean cooking on the web! KoreanFeast is the
companion Web site for Growing Up in a Korean Kitchen: A Cookbook
by Hi Soo Shin Hepinstall, which began appearing in bookstores in
August 2001. We have ambitious plans for the site but they are
still "under construction" so . . please bear with us while we get
everything up and running.

Coming Soon to KoreanFeast
We plan to roll out many features that we hope will ease the novice's introduction to Korean cuisine as well as support the pros already very familiar with Korean cooking. These features will include:
- Essays on Korean food, cooking and culture by Hi Soo and other guest writers.
- Featured monthly recipes that everybody can practice together, sharing their experience with other visitors.
- An ongoing bulletin board for general discussions on Korean food.
- Links to other Web sites related to Korean cooking and foodstuffs.
- Lists of Korean markets throughout the US, both online and real world, with links, maps, special sales and reviews.
- A glossary of key ingredients in Korean (this will make it a bit easier to find things when you visit the markets!)
- A calendar of Hi Soo's lectures, cooking demonstrations and book signing appearances.
- Korean restaurant reviews (we'll be looking forward to your input too).
- A resource center for Korean restaurants and markets.
